Assessment task 2a: Pebblepad Research Webfolio (20%)
a. The intention of the research project is for you to research one of the following topics and build an interactive web resource (Webfolio).
This project is to design a Webfolio that is specific to a topic area; the Webfolio will act as a resource for others to gain a greater insight into the chosen topic. The Webfolio will allow others to access information in an informative, engaging and structured manner.
The aim is rather then producing assignments that do not have a life after the grade is given, these Webfolio’s will enable others to have greater accesses to a broad range of information on an ongoing basis. |

- You will be using the personal learning system 'PebblePad" to complete this assessment task.

Task 2 consists of the following components and is focused on engagement and reflection.
Engagement

2a. Pebblepad Research Webfolio.
Webfolio on your chosen aspect of the Long Walk environment.

2b. Interactive Group Activity. Presentation of your research during the trip.

2c. Participation. Highlighting your level of involvement and engagement in the learning opportunities that the Long Walk involves.

Assessment Criteria |
- Successful submission of this work is a component of satisfactory preparation for participation on the Long Walk. All work will be reviewed prior to the student’s leaving for the Long Walk. Any work that is deemed not satisfactory or would be likely to fail will require the student to resubmit prior to being allowed to attend the walk.
- Failure to submit the work will result in a student not being allowed to attend the walk.
Penalties for late submission of the assessment
Students will have the standard 7 days allowed for submission. After 7 days the work will not be accepted for marking. A student will lose 10% of the grade for each day or part thereof the assignment is late. Weekends are included in this allotment as individual days. Late submission will be noted against satisfactory participation requirements.
Failure to submit the work will result in a student not being allowed to attend the walk.
