OED2FEC Field Experience - The Long Walk

Overview of Assessment Task One

The two components of assessment 1 are structured to ensure students are adequately prepared for the Long Walk.

The Long Walk Action Plan is designed to detail the necessary planning, timelines and required information necessary for a student to prepare for the forthcoming long walk. At the heart of it – it is a brainstorming exercise of all the things you will need to do and the the amount of time, resources, etc that you have available to you to ensure you are ready. You need to give considerable thought to this process as it will lay the foundations for completing all other aspects of preparation required for the Long Walk.

The Long Walk Action Plan will be the evidence that you supply to prove a high level of consideration has been given to the requirements of being prepared.

The Long Walk Preparation and Planning Webfolio requires students to complete a detailed planning and preparation assignment to provide evidence that they are suitably prepared for the requirements of undertaking an 18 day walk. You will provide evidence on a range of topics that need to be considered in the preparation stages that connect to your own preparation and also your group.

The Webfolio will gradually build as you work towards being adequately prepared for the Long Walk and it is important that you provide clear evidence of this progression.

Format

You will be using the personal learnining system called "PebblePad" to complete this assessment task.

In addition, we will be providing a hands on PebblePad workshop to assist students in getting started to create these PebblePad assets.

Where do I submit?

Each student will submit an Action Plan and a Webfolio to the PebblePad gateway for OED2FEC for assessment.
